The campaign introduces four exciting new offerings—some designed especially for the Rosh Hashanah season and others created to engage children throughout the entire Jewish year. These newest multimedia additions build upon Mitzvah Power Academy's growing collection of books, website at MitzvahPower.com, videos, Mensch-tivities, contests, the Jewish Kids Film Festival, and other online resources that help children discover the joy of Jewish holidays, traditions, values, and mitzvot through creativity, humor, and hands-on fun. Calling all young Jewish filmmakers! The Shanah Tovah Super Menschy Movie Contest is now open. Children can enter a film of 3 minutes or less. Here are some Super Menschy movie ideas: Send a New Year's wish, share a mitzvah (good deed) planned to help others or a new year’s resolution to do better. Skits, songs, puppet shows, animation, pet tricks, all welcome. There are two age divisions, Junior, 5 to 8 years and Senior, 9 to 12 years, with great prizes in each category. Super Menschy Rosh Hashanah Fun Book, available as a PDF download from MitzvahPower.com. Your children will love sixteen holiday-themed, fun “Mensch-tivities” designed for 5-10 year olds including fun word games, mazes, a match game, and crossword. They will have fun making their own paper shofar to practice the shofar sounds. There are coloring sheets and our Mitzvah Power Tracker to record good deeds in the coming year done at home, school, in the community and at synagogue. An easy download, you can print out the sheets and make copies for all the children at your Rosh Hashanah celebration.
