B'ruchim HaBaim! - WELCOME!
Dear Super Menschy Club Members and Families,
B'ruchim HaBaim! That means blessed are those who come or WELCOME to the new SUPER MENSCHY CLUB brought to you by Mitzvah Power Academy and Jewish Kids Media. We are so excited that you are joining us for fun, fun, fun and Torah learning about how to be a MENSCH. What's a mensch you might ask? It's a good person who helps others. There are so many ways to be a mensch like carrying packages for an older person, visiting grandma and grandpa, helping to clean your room, collecting cans for a food bank or winter coats for a homeless shelter. What are some of the menschy things you do each day?
Did you know that it's almost time for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year? We say "Shahah Tovah" to wish our family and friends a good year. We eat apples and honey and other sweet foods like round challah and honey cake to celebrate the sweetness of the New Year. We blow the shofar that's like a wakeup call to be a better person in the coming year.
It's also a good time to think about how you can be even more menschy in the New Year. Maybe it's time to say you are sorry to someone whose feelings you might have hurt. Start including the new student at school who doesn't yet have any friends in your playgroup or donate some of your allowance to a charity. Rosh Hashanah is a great time for a fresh start and working toward becoming a Super Menschy person.
Please check out all of the Super Menschy free downloads in our exclusive Super Menschy Club House page including our Calendar, Rosh Hashanah Fun Book, and first ever issued Super Mensch Cards. Also enter the Shanah Tovah Super Menschy Movie Contest by October 22. You could be a prize winner! Being Super Menschy is fun, fun, fun!
Shanah Tovah!
Rabbi Linda
